This interactive workshop introduces the essentials of allyship and inclusive leadership in a way that’s practical and approachable for everyone.

Short Course Objectives:

Following completion of the workshop participants will be able to:

  1. Understand equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) terminology, like allyship and why it matters.
  2. Identify examples of microaggressions around them and in their workplace.
  3. Identify personal strengths and growth areas in inclusive leadership.
  4. Learn 3–5 practical actions to activate allyship in their workplace.
  5. Access advanced resources for continued learning.

Professionals, including engineers, geoscientists, HSA professionals, CPHRs, and CPAs, tradespeople and operators.

Abstract

Join Prairie Catalyst founder, Dr. Jocelyn Peltier-Huntley, P.Eng. for a 1/2 day of interactive inclusive leadership training called, Everyday Allies. This training is ideal for professionals and leaders at all levels who want to create more inclusive workplaces and strengthen their leadership impact.

This interactive workshop introduces the essentials of allyship and inclusive leadership in a way that’s practical and approachable for everyone. Through self-reflection, group discussion, and real-world scenarios, participants will discover simple, everyday actions that make a big impact.

Using live engagement tools like Mentimeter, we’ll capture ideas and build a shared commitment to inclusion. Participants will walk away with actionable strategies, valuable resources and the confidence to be an active ally, everyday!

Dr. Jocelyn Peltier-Huntley, P.Eng. is the founder of Prairie Catalyst Consulting Corp, an EDI consulting firm on a mission to create awareness and remove roadblocks so all can realize their full potential. 

She is a globally recognized authority on activating workplaces allies. She is the creator of the Ally Activation model, which helps us understand how individuals go from living their lives to actively practicing inclusion and leading positive change.
